Nine species of Tropiduchidae from the Mascarenes are described, four of them being new, and five new genera are proposed, namely Pseudoclardea, Idiomyctus, Aethomyctus, Cyrtomycta and Cuneoceps. The species are Clardea unicolor Signoret, Pseudoclardea leguati (Muir), comb. nov., Idiomyctus nigrostriatus (Synave), comb. nov., I. simus spec. nov., I. notatulus (Stal), comb. nov., Aethomyctus viridus spec. nov., Conchyoptera unicolor Signoret, Cyrtomycta perisema spec. nov. and Cuneoceps insularis spec. nov. Clardea mauritii Synave is synonymised with Clardea unicolor Signoret. All are indigenous to the Mascarenes and are frequent only indigenous Mascarene plants. | |
