The tolerance of potato and groundnut established in cane interrows to post-emergence application of halosulfuron has been evaluated in 4 field trials. Rates were applied following two scenarios namely an overall spray on both crops and a directed spray to the cane rows only. Results have shown that an overall spray reduced yield of potato and groundnut whereas directed spray treatments were safe to both crops. When the two crops are established in cane interrows it is now possible to control Cyperus rotundus with halosulfuron by directing the spray to the cane rows. | |
