The paper summarises the findings compiled from contributions of the committee members and from the proceedings of the ISSCT Agricultural Engineering Section Workshop held in Malelane, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The various issues influencing choice of cane handling system and possible solutions are discussed. The main issues emerging from the discussions that remain to be resolved are highlighted. the five-day workshop program included field days in Swaziland and in Mpumalanga region of South Africa. | |
