| With the take over of the Agricultural Services in Rodrigues, it is very important to consolidate the technical and administrative capacity of that ministry and of its services to meet the challenge of developing the agricultural sector in Rodrigues. In the light of a field study, this paper proposes an alternative integrated approach, and the setting up of a mechanism to supply inputs and services - credits, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and mechanization - so as to overcome the numerous technical problems identified. The marketing and processing of produce will require increasing attention as problems of production are gradually solved. | |
