Abstract (AB)The difficulties encountered with the operation of the Saturne diffuser installation are reviewed. The measures taken to overcome these difficulties as well as others aiming at improving the extraction performance of the installation are described. Results of experimental work undertaken in order to assess the general performance of the milling-diffusion plant are given.
