Abstract (AB)Two major tomato diseases widespread in Mauritius : bacterial wilt (Pseudomonas solanacearum) and nematodes (Meloidogyne sp.) can be controlled by grafting suitable tomato scions on Solanum torvum, a highly resistant rootstock, using the tongued graft method. Grafted plants have also shown resistance to conditions of high humidity.
