Abstract (AB)In a digestibility trial with goats, cane tops silage prepared with the addition of molasses at 5 per cent and ammonia at 0.2 per cent N had the same dry matter digestibility (66-69 per cent) as fresh cane tops. The ruminal volatile fatty acid patterns were also similar for the two diets.
