Abstract (AB)The pathogen responsible for a recent outbreak of sugarcane rust in Mauritius was identified as Puccinia erianthi Padw. and Khan (=P. melanocephala H. and P. Syd.) from measurements of teleutospores and urediospores. The disease is not considered to be economically important.
