Abstract (AB)The mealybug, Pseudaspidoproctus fulleri Cockerell (Homoptera: Margarodidae) was found for the first time in Mauritius in January 1990. Preliminary observations are made on the distribution and host plants of the insect. 'Chiendent', Cynodon dactylon appears to be the preferred host plant. Methods of control of P. fulleri are suggested.
