Abstract (AB)The land resources of Mauritius are defined in terms of thirteen "land complexes", which are made up of forty-four "land units". An actual and a potential suitability classification has been worked out for each "land utilization type". Three orders of suitability, eitht suitability classes and an unlimited number of suitability sub-classes have been recognized.
