| Cyperus esculentus has rapidly invaded certain sugarcane areas of Mauritius. In an effort to achieve satisfactory control of this troublesome weed, trials were initiated with several herbicide treatments in fallo9w land and in young plant cane. Very satisfactory control was obtained with Round-up and mixtures of Velpar K4 with Actril-DS or 2,4-D amine salt. In young plant cane the best results were obtained with a mixture of Actril-DS and sodium chlorate. | |
