Abstract (AB)In addition to the well-described leaf markings, streak disease in sugar cane may cause depressions in the epidermis of the leaf lamina, leaf sheath and rind, enations on the leaf blade, gall-like protuberances on the midrib, and necrosis inside stem internodes. With the exception of the enations and the gall-like structures, the symptoms of streak may be confused with those of certain strains of sugar cane mosaic.
