| A high grade continuous centrifugal was commissioned at Deep River Beau Champ sugar factory near the end of the 1995 crushing season. When operated in parallel with a batch machine, it was observed that the continuous centrifugal produced a higher purity rise in the A-runnings by 0,5 unit, a higher agglomeration of the sugar by 2,4 per cent and a higher crystal breakage of 2,1 per cent. The capacity of the A-centrifugal station increased two-fold, and the energy requirement per ton massecuite was reduced three-fold. | |
