Abstract (AB)More efficient weed control resulted from post-emergence than pre-emergence herbicide treatments because they controlled emerged weeds, germinating weed seeds, and also provided residual pre-emergence control. The conditions when post-emergence treatments would prove advantageous in field practice are described.
