Abstract (AB)	The key for generic identification of white grubs found in Mauritian sugar cane fields, prepared by VINSON (1937), is modified and updated. The important characters used in the key, namely the arrangement of the ventral setae on the last abdominal segment and structures on the head, are illustrated diagrammatically.
